Pray For Us...
This is the plea of persecuted Christians around the world. Right now around the world over 200 million are suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ. As Stalin put it so bluntly, 200 million is a statistic, but the suffering is quite real to the bothers and sisters who have been imprisoned, beaten, tortured, driven from their homes, starved and treated as criminals for their faith in Jesus Christ, the Lord we all share. I encourage you to pick a person, or a family or a village to focus your prayers.
You and I are commanded in the scripture to pray for and visit those who are persecuted for their faith. Be dilligent about your part. Let God deal with the millions - that kind of number overwhelms me. But God is faithful. If I stand behind one family or one village, God will grant the Christians for whom I pray the faith and strength to stand firm in the face of tribulation and present a clear strong witness to the power of Jesus Christ.
Each year, Christians all over join together to stand with our suffering sisters and brothers and pray for God’s peace and grace in the midst of suffering and hostility; to pray for the physical needs and safety of suffering Christians and their families; to pray for the persecutors; and to thank God for His faithfulness in the midst of tribulation.
