Prayer Request Guidelines
To prevent spam and other inappropriate posts from being distributed, a moderator approves each submission before passing it on to our prayer partners.
Please help us by following the guidelines below. Non-conforming submissions may be deleted altogether or be edited by the moderator. The moderator reserves the right to refuse "service" to anyone for any reason.
Thank you for your cooperation!
- Do NOT include email addresses, website addresses, or other personal information in your request, or your submission may not be distributed at all. In return, we will respect your privacy. All we post to for our prayer partners are the subject, the request, and the name of the person submitting the request (if provided).
- DO use a good subject line
Using "Prayer Request" as your subject is redundant. How about giving your subject line something specific, like "Brother has cancer," or "Praise Report - I'm Healed!" It will be a big help to our prayer partners!
- Posts should focus in two major areas:
- prayer requests themselves, and
- testimonies and praise reports of answered prayers.
- DO Honor people's privacy
Example: don't name names in requests for prayer about marital problems, abusive relationships, etc. God knows their names – we'll just pray with you for "your friend."
- Do NOT use all uppercase letters
Online "Netiquette" interprets all uppercase letters as EMPHASIS or SHOUTING. It's much easier to read when you use both upper and lower case letters.
- Do NOT include solicitations for funds
We do not accept any sort of appeal for donations. Even couched as a prayer request, an appeal for funds will be deleted altogether.
- DO proofread your post before clicking "submit"
There's no spelling test here, but typos sometimes make it hard to figure out what someone really means. We do not have enough staff (we're all volunteers) to edit for spelling and grammar, so please read your request over once before submitting it.
- DO send in a follow-up praise report!
Testifying to the Lord's goodness is scriptural, and helps build faith in the prayer partners standing with you.
