We have committed to...
…with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves. We love only because Jesus Christ first loved us (1John 4:19) and gave his life for us on the cross so that our sins could be forgiven and God’s wrath satisfied. We love because the Holy Spirit has made us alive and given us new hearts able to Love God and our neighbor. God is our greatest desire, treasure, hope, joy, peace, security and love. It is by the Love of God we seek to build each other up into the likeness of Jesus Christ and reach out to the lost with the lifesaving Good news of Jesus Christ crucified, raised, and returning again. In all these things we boast in God alone and seek to glorify Him in everything (2Corinthians 10:17).
Be A Biblical Church
The Bible is God-breathed: authoritative, inerrant, infallible, and sufficient. The Bible constitutes the only infallible rule of faith and practice (Matthew 5:18; 24:35; John 10:35; 16:12-13; 17:17; 1Corinthians 2:13; 2Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12; 2Peter 1:20-21). God’s intentions, revealed in the Bible, are the supreme and final authority in testing all claims about what is true and what is right. They are totally sufficient and must not be added to, superseded, or changed by later tradition, extra-biblical revelation, or worldly wisdom. Every doctrinal formulation, whether of creed, confession, or theology must be put to the test of the full counsel of God in Holy Scripture (2Timothy 3:15-17).
Be A Reformed and Confessional Church
We believe in God’s sovereignty in all things, including our salvation. We hold to the doctrines of grace and the Sola’s of the reformation. We are creedal and consider the Apostles Creed, Athanasian Creed and Nicene Creed, as faithful expressions of Biblical truth and historic orthodoxy. We are confessional and hold to the Three Forms of Unity: The Belgic Confession, The Heidelberg Confession and the Canons of Dort considering them faithful expressions of Biblical truth and historic orthodoxy. Other confessions we consider very useful are The Westminster Confession of Faith (along with the Larger and Shorter Catechisms- 1647) and the 1689 Second Baptist London Confession.
Our Reformed Faith
The Five Solae
Sola Scriptura - “Scripture Alone”
The Bible alone is our highest authority.
Sola Fide - “Faith Alone”
We are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ.
Sola Gratia - “Grace Alone”
We are saved by the grace of God alone.
Solus Christus - “Christ Alone”
Jesus Christ alone is the mediator between God and men.
Soli Deo Gloria - "To the Glory of God Alone”
Our lives are to the glory of God alone.
